  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (filling)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coating)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; chill filling.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar, then add egg and vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to form dough.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Flatten dough, add cheesecake filling, and seal with more dough.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Mix cinnamon and sugar, brush cookies with butter, and coat in mixture.
  9. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Chill filling to prevent leaking during baking.
  • Seal edges well to keep cheesecake center intact.
