  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp green food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line cupcake tray.
  2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk.
  6. Mix in green food coloring and vinegar.
  7. Fill liners 2/3 full.
  8. Bake 18–22 minutes.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cream for frosting.
  11. Frost and decorate cupcakes.
