- ½ cup flour
- 1 pinch Himalayan pink salt
- ½ cup butter (or coconut oil)
- ¼ cup honey (or agave syrup)
- 1 cup cane sugar
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 packet Kool-Aid powder (flavor of choice)
- 1 tsp licorice extract
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and honey over medium heat. Stir in cane sugar and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Add flour and salt, cooking while stirring for about 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in licorice extract and Kool-Aid powder until well combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then roll into ropes on the parchment paper.
- Let cool at room temperature for 30–60 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use different Kool-Aid flavors to create colorful candy variations.
- If the mixture becomes too sticky, lightly grease your hands before rolling.
- Store the licorice ropes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
