- 1 pkg frozen phyllo dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix honey and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- Unroll phyllo dough and cover with a damp cloth to prevent drying.
- Layer 4 sheets of phyllo, brushing each with melted butter.
- Spread honey-cinnamon mixture over top and sprinkle with nuts if using.
- Roll tightly and place seam-side down on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
- Brush tops with remaining butter.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Cool slightly, slice, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
Notes
- Keep phyllo covered while working to prevent it from drying out.
- Roll tightly to ensure crisp layers.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
