  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (frosting)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (frosting)
  • Pink food coloring
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baking pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract.
  4. Mix dry ingredients separately.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
  6. Spread dough into pan evenly.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Prepare frosting and tint pink.
  10. Spread frosting over cooled bars.
  11. Top with crushed peppermint candies.
  12. Slice and serve.
