- 2 cups grated cassava
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup condensed milk (topping)
- 1 egg yolk (topping)
- 1 tbsp sugar (topping)
Instructions
- Prepare steamer and grease pan.
- Drain cassava well.
- Mix all base ingredients until smooth.
- Pour into pan and smooth surface.
- Steam 40–50 minutes until set.
- Mix topping ingredients.
- Pour over cake and steam 10–15 more minutes.
- Cool completely before slicing.
- Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Drain cassava well to avoid sogginess.
- Cover steamer lid with cloth to prevent water drips.
- Let cake cool before slicing for clean cuts.
- Best texture after resting a few hours.
