  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee or water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz melted chocolate
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line cupcake pan.
  2. Mix flour, cocoa, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla in another bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in hot coffee or water.
  6. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Beat butter, powdered sugar, cream, melted chocolate, and cocoa powder for frosting.
  10. Frost and decorate.
